Got up 6am first thing this morning feeling fresh and ready to go. Yesterday was a very long day, in fact, I had meetings all day to contend with and it was so busy, I completely forgot about lunch. Now, this isn't so big a deal for most people except for my severe bleeding ulcer condition which would normally remind me within a 3 hour period to put something starchy in my stomach and would simply kill me if I didn't comply by the 6th hour (literally, in the hospital being pumped full of the *captain's cocktail and morphine). Yesterday I survived a 11 hour stretch with no food. Of course, this was not especially good for the diabetic part of me which nearly fainted in the end, but this is just another testament of the Ciaga & Greenzyme combo I have been taking once daily. My daily regiment before breakfast, 1 and a half table spoons of Ciaga with two heaping teaspoons of Greenzymes (my dosage slightly larger than normal because of the severity of my conditions). My next step is to increase my dosage to twice daily to see if I can't get my insulin usage down a little more. You know, I can't tell you how good it feels to feel a little more normal each week, each month. Something I nearly gave up hope on during the past 4 years of steady physical decline. I was just sitting back preparing for my burial plans. I still have a long trip ahead of me, but I feel a lot more positive about it. You shouldn't have to feel so old as I did after my big 40. Most of my friends over 65 had twice the active life that I did. I was giving up while they were still looking ahead.
*captain's cocktail = 50/50% Maalox prescription strength and a local anesthetic.
