A renown Las Vegas doctor who was also on the Nevada state medical board, had agreed to see me to diagnose my state of health pro-bono as referred by a mutual friend. Having taken a full blood works test and the results being sent to the doctor's office directly, I then got an urgent call from the doctor's office stating I should come in immediately. I then attempted to make an appointment for the following day, but was told, "Immediately means now!" Entering the doctor's office I was then escorted directly to the back and was seen by the doctor and given some standard checks (blood pressure, reflex, etc.), then sat down with the doctor for consultation. He looked at my charts, was shaking his head the whole time, and finally said, "You should be dead! by all accounts there is no reason you should be sitting here breathing." so I said, "what is wrong with me?" and he said, "I have never seen such high levels of everything, there is nothing good here." the nurse then walked in with my charts from a hospital stay I had a few months earlier. He looks at it, shakes his head more and says, "I don't know why they even released you, they should have sent you straight to the morgue and save you the trip!"
p.s. someone asked me what is the significance of the bear in a straight jacket for this segment of "my story." and the answer is, if you knew me as most of my friends do, getting me to a doctor would be just that. tying me up and dragging me in to the clinic or hospital. an anesthetic or hammer would probably be just as effective too.
